Student travel Agencies

Student travel agencies make it easier (and cheaper) than ever to plan and book your trip abroad. Many student travel agencies put together package deals, book flights, tours, and cruises and help you with everything else you need to get on the road!

Still, would-be student travelers should be wary - the internet is full of discount airfare websites, all purporting to offer the best deals from A to B. Students looking to snag a good deal should do their research and find websites that offer student discounts, and not just cheap fares. Some so-called student discount travel agencies really just offer the same discounts as all the other websites, so it’s worth taking the time to compare and find the best deal.

One of the most popular discount student travel agencies is STA Travel. STA offers an easy to use website so you can find the best fare possible. They also have information on purchasing an International Student Identification Card (ISIC) that will help you get discounts on your airfare, youth hostels, museum entrance fees, and many other things on the road.

Travel CUTS is another great online discount student travel agency, offering some great deals on tickets all over the world. Some current deals include Baltimore to Stockholm for $247, Miami to London for $297, and Los Angeles to Brisbane for $899.

Student Universe, whose motto is: “Students Fly Cheaper”, is another great online resource for discount airfare. This web-based student travel agency has a great website and some great deals to back it up. At the time of this posting, they are offering flights from Fort Lauderdale to Cancun for $181, and From Seattle to Amsterdam for $389. Student Universe also offers car rental deals for students as young as 18, deals starting at $17 a day.

Check Student Traveler each week for all the best airfares from the top student travel agencies. Check out the discount airfares here.

Student Travel

Student travel has seen a huge boom in recent years. From study abroad to internships abroad to spring break packages and summer backpacking trips through Europe, students are starting to make travel a big part of their lifestyle.

Some statistics show that there are currently 14.3 million students enrolled in over 5,000 colleges in the USA alone, and that each year over 715,000 (or 5%) of these students spend $2.1 billion in the travel sector. That’s a lot of money being spent by an often overlooked slice of the market. In fact, students are often looked at as too young, too busy, and too broke to be travelers of any worth, but in reality, the student travel market represents 23% of the entire travel market. Students took over two million trips last year!

This is why outlets like Student Traveler Magazine exist – because students travel, and because they need quality travel information on destinations, and they want inspiring stories from other student travelers. Students want information on spring break trips to South America, and they want tips on how to set up their own backpacking euro trip. They want information on hot destinations like Eastern Europe, South East Asia, Australia, and even the Middle East.

Student Travel is big, and its only getting bigger.
